Business Breakfast

Business Breakfast
Endeavour hosted a Business Breakfast, bringing together local businesses and partners to support our learners and explore opportunities for work experience pathways.
We were especially grateful to our business partners: Essex Business Partnership, The Finishing Line, Nationwide Building Society, Brentwood Town FC, Balfour Beatty, along with Anurag and Paul Wilding, for their ongoing support and for sharing their journeys with our students.
Providing our learners with exposure to the world of work is a vital part of our careers education offer. It helps to embed meaningful links to careers by allowing students to hear directly from employers, understand different job roles, and see how the skills they are developing in school connect to real workplace expectations. This in turn supports them to build confidence, develop key employability skills and make informed decisions about their future pathways.
If you are interested in working with our school whether through a talk, tour, activity or work experience opportunity, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Supported Internship Event

Supported Internship Event:
Sixth Form students had a fantastic experience at a recent Supported Internship event.
They proudly manned their own stall, showcasing the wonderful products created by our Enterprise class to a wide range of visitors and services in attendance. The learners engaged confidently with members of the public, explaining the products and sharing information about their work.
The event also gave learners valuable exposure to the wide range of supported internship opportunities available, helping them to better understand the different pathways on offer. This insight will support them in making informed decisions about their next steps and future aspirations.
This was a brilliant opportunity to develop communication, teamwork and employability skills in a real-world setting. It helped learners build confidence in speaking to others, taking responsibility for running a stall, and representing the school in a professional manner.
A fantastic experience all round, and we are incredibly proud of how well our learners participated and the enthusiasm they showed throughout the day.
Nutritionist Workshop

Nutritionist Workshop:
This Wednesday, Key Stage 3 students were treated to a special guest session with George Davis, a nutritionist for Watford FC Youth Academy.
George shared fascinating insights into the world of professional football nutrition, explaining how players’ diets, training regimes and performance tracking all work together to support elite performance.
Learners also had the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities, including making protein balls and sampling turmeric and ginger shots. These practical elements helped bring the session to life and encouraged learners to think about healthy lifestyles and nutrition in a fun and engaging way.
A huge thank you to George for delivering such an inspiring workshop. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained a valuable insight into careers in sports science and nutrition.
Southend Airport

Southend Airport:
Our Sixth Form ICT Vocational group recently enjoyed a visit to the Holiday Inn Southend at London Southend Airport.
As part of their current learning, the group has been developing website design skills and creating their own web pages. During the visit, learners collected photographs and content that they could use within their website projects, helping them to apply their classroom learning in a real-world setting.
The learners also had the opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available within the airport, hospitality and travel industries. They learned about different job roles involved in the day-to-day operation of the airport and hotel, gaining a greater understanding of the skills and qualifications required for these careers.
The group explored the venue, took photographs and then evaluated their experience, giving the location a rating out of five and explaining the reasons behind their scores. This provided an excellent opportunity to develop both their digital and communication skills while considering the needs of a target audience when designing a website.
The learners particularly enjoyed the café and viewing area, making it a highly recommended spot to visit. The venue is free to access provided visitors make use of the café facilities, making it a great place to watch aircraft movements while enjoying refreshments.
The visit was a valuable learning experience, allowing learners to gather authentic content for their projects while also exploring potential future career pathways and developing their confidence and independence in the community.
