The Jack Petchey Achievement Awards are progamme that recognises and celebrates the achievement of young people ages 11-25 in London and Essex. Theses awards are not solely for academic excellence but also acknowledge personal triumphs, overcoming challenges, and positive contributions to the community. Award winners receive a framed certificate, a pin badge, a grant to spend on a project that benefits their school or organisation.

The Achievement Awards:

We are part of the gold scheme. This means nine learners from KS3, 4 and 5 can win per academic year.

Key Stage 3: 

Name: Jude Duff

Student

Jude is a lovely young man who is growing in confidence and self esteem. His friends say that he is a loyal friend and is always there for them. He is really kind and on his friends first day at school Jude took them under his wing and made them feel happy and helped them get around.

What they spent their £300 Grant on:

Jude chose to spend the £300 grant money we received on treating the key stage to a fun game of Laser Tag!

Name:Teejay Jennings

Student

he is always offering to help people. During the Matilda performances he has been making sure that everything is coming on/off the stage at the correct times. He is a great friend to another peer in Boyd class who does not communicate with adults. He always ensures that she is okay and if she needs anything he will let a teacher know. He is also working with Mrs Wilson and Mrs Murphy to try and improve her communication.

Teejay chose to spend the £300 grant money we received on a school trip to Colchester Zoo.

Name: Harrison Langton

Harrison has become a very key learner at the CC, he is able to relate and interact to all his friends and peers in an appropriate, fun, caring manner. He includes everyone in his activities and will make sure everyone feels included, Harrison goes out of his way to speak and check on quieter peers. Harrisons playfulness and kindness has been noticed throughout KS5. 

Harrison chose to spend the £300 grant money  we received on a trip to Chelmsford to play Virtual Darts and eat at a Chinese buffet.

The Leader Award:

This award  recognises the incredible commitment of adults who go above and beyond at the schools and youth organisations they support and who exemplify dedication to support young people. The awards give young people the chance to say ‘thank you’ to these incredible adults! This award comes with a £1000 grant to be spent within the school to benefit the learners.

Miss Ball

​We want to thank you Miss Ball for the excellent job she has been doing for The Endeavour Academy so far. She is always professional but friendly, cooperates with all the pupils and colleagues and produces always high-quality fun lesson especially for all the Topic trips!We appreciate all the hard work she has been putting into our well-being. She won't carry on with a lesson if she see someone upset.We are so lucky to have Miss Ball, and she should be proud of Herself.

What they spent their £1000 Grant on:

The grant paid for a local company to attend the school to provide an Exotic Animal experience.

The Environmental  Award:  

This award celebrates those who are actively working to protect and promote the environment, and build a greener future for their communities. Winners receive a certificate, attend a ceremony, and have the opportunity to apply for a grant to support further environmental projects.

Educational Visit: The programme provides grants to schools to support young people in developing personal and social skills, as well as providing learning opportunities outside of the traditional classroom setting. The funding can be used for costs like transportation and entrance fees for visits to museums, theaters, science shows, and other educational experiences.

Table tennis tables: The table tennis programme, run in partnership with Table Tennis England, aims to increase participation in table tennis among young people. We now have three inside table's, one at the main site and two at the Chadwick Centre.
